Mad Mapper’s Muse: When the mysterious Mr. P (oh, it’s Mike Palmer, but I’m still no wiser) won the August 2015 ‘Business’ Mappy Award with his excellent Leadership vs. Management mind map, I wrote:

Hey, I think I just nailed what makes a great mind map for me in one line – cool!
So I’m thoroughly satisfied that the collective vote over on the Mind Map Mad Facebook Group (are you a member yet?) has bestowed the honour of Overall Winner in the August 2015 Mappy Awards upon him!
It’s true that there are a ton of these trendy business model-paradigm-shape-shifters out there and it’s with a wry smile that I spot the latest ‘game-changer’ on the book store shelves each year, just in time for Christmas.
Having said that though, there are surprisingly few mind maps which creatively and usefully sum up some of these often innovative and stimulating ideas, 317 interpretations of De Bono’s Six Thinking Hats notwithstanding.
OK, I’m a sucker for the latest professional parable, management metaphor, entrepreneurial endeavour and marketing mindwarp. 7 Habits of Frog-Eating Purple Cows and Spotting Gorillas Moving People’s Cheese hold no secrets for me! So I’d love to see a few more inventive souls GRASPing the mind mapping Solution and getting to it on these topics 😉
Heck, maybe I’ll just do them myself and then I can win all the Mappy Awards for a change! But well done to Mike P in any case, and if anyone knows of his whereabouts so that he can step up to accept his award and say a word, I’d be delighted to hear from you.
